July 11th is Sir William Grove’s birthday 🥳. Born in Swansea and inventor of the fuel cell, he has left a legacy of hope for a greener planet protecting future generations 🌱. To celebrate, we drove members of the U3A Swansea chapter down to Rhosilli on the Gower, the UK’s first designated ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’ in a fuel cell bus 🚌We took in Swansea police station which once was Grove’s family home, Swansea University’s Grove house, and the National Trust visitor centre overlooking Worm’s Head. A fitting birthday celebration for an incredible Welshman! 🏴
